Shipping policy

Everything is whipped fresh, by hand, in Los Angeles. We're a small-batch operation, which means your jar is made and packed with care rather than pulled off a warehouse shelf.

Processing & shipping schedule

Orders are whipped fresh and ship once a week, every Monday. Orders placed after Sunday night go out the following Monday. You'll receive tracking by email as soon as your package is on its way.

Carrier & delivery

We ship via USPS from Los Angeles, California. Typical delivery is 2–5 business days after dispatch, depending on your location. Delivery times are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed.

We currently ship within the United States only.

Hot weather shipping

Real butter melts. That's not a flaw — it's proof there's nothing fake in the jar.

During warm months your buttah may arrive soft. Refrigerate it for 20 minutes and it re-firms completely, with the texture, scent, and quality unchanged. We ship early in the week during hot months so packages don't sit in a truck over the weekend, but we can't control conditions in transit, and softening is not considered damage.

Preorders

Preorder items are whipped after the preorder window closes and must cure for several days before they ship. Estimated ship dates are listed on the product page. If your order contains both in-stock and preorder items, the entire order ships together once the preorder items are ready — email us if you'd prefer them shipped separately.

Event pickup

Attending one of our events? Choose Pick Up at Event at checkout to skip shipping costs entirely. Your order will be packed and waiting at the Buttahs by Bob or elle kayson table.

Bring your order confirmation (your phone is fine). Pickup orders are not shipped. If you can't attend, email us before the event and we'll ship your order instead (shipping charges apply).

Incorrect addresses

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We aren't able to reroute a package once it's in the carrier's hands, and orders returned to us due to an incorrect address will be reshipped at the customer's expense.

Lost or damaged packages

If your package is lost or arrives damaged, email buttahsbybob@gmail.com within 7 days of the delivery date with your order number and a photo, and we'll make it right.
